Alton’s Victorian Cricket Match
A Grand Day Out on 24th June 2018 at the Butts
Every year, our stall at the Victorian Cricket Match on the Butts is well attended and in 2018, it was very popular. Visitors were impressed with our plans for the Coors Brewery site and our map of the Wey River walk. Plus the pictures from our Friends of Flood Meadows and the Annual Litter Pick. We also signed up 11 new members to the Society.
23rd June 2019 The Alton Society supports this year’s event
We had an excellent day at the match this year and signed up another 11 new members (spooky….same as last year). The pictures show helpers having a lovely pint of real ale plus the chairman Nicky Branch, events co-ordinator Bob Booker and Secretary David Simpkins helping on the day. Yet again our suggestions for the Coors Brewery site was very popular.
