This application was for 275 houses on a greenfield site, to include 40% ‘affordable homes’, involving multiple developers. The outline application [ref: 55428/001] was approved in January 2015, despite widespread concerns. The Alton Society’s main objections centred around inadequate transport infrastructure, and sewage and drainage issues. The Reserved Matters applications [ref: 55428/002, /003, /004] were approved in July 2016.
