The Alton Society is an independent, non-political society open to anyone interested in Alton (Hampshire, England) to join, on payment of an annual subscription of £12.50. The membership year starts in October, so if you wish to join contact the Membership Secretary Richard Carter via our email address membership@altonsociety.org.uk. Don’t forget membership can include your spouse or partner living at the same address for no extra cost.
Many of those who join choose to become more actively involved in the Society and can serve on the Management Committee. Committee members bring a range of talents to the Society especially in relation to planning and conservation. We have a number of groups specialising in the Built Environment, Natural Environment and Sustainability (this includes economic and wider issues such as green energy).
